Bio
Combining her passions and skill as a fine art photographer, and a love for dogs; Rachel's images easily stand on their own. Growing up, her days were spent outside with friends, rescuing stray dogs that had been abandoned on the country roads. Always a creative and artistic individual, photography was introduced at the age of 13. It only made sense that her first subjects were animals, and soon a hobby became part of her identity.
Rachel gives credit to her beloved German Shepherd mix, Zero; for being a patient model as she honed her craft while attending college, and in turn helping her gain confidence to pursue dog photography as a career. She has done work for several publications, fashion designers, and dog related companies.

Not limiting herself to the family dog, Rachel works with all species of canine. She has hands-on experience with wolves, foxes, and dingoes. She is the official staff photographer for local facility Eden Creek Wolves, and frequently travels to other facilities and sanctuaries to work with these beautiful animals.
Fascinated by all things canid, Rachel is always learning about canine behavior, training, and nutrition. When she's not making pictures, Rachel enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her two rescue dogs: her beautiful German Shepherd mix named Zero; and a wild, crazy Dachshund/Yorkshire Terrier mix named Oliver.
Giving Back
An avid believer in animal rescue, Rachel is a member of HeARTs Speak, a network of photographers who volunteer their time to animal shelters and non-profit rescue groups. The goal is to not only photograph them for faster adoptions; but to help raise awareness for these animals and the organizations in charge of their care.
Rachel regularly donates her services to charity events, raffles, and other activities benefiting shelters and non-profit rescue organizations. She also volunteers with several rescue groups, photographing their animals for Petfinder profiles and other adoption/networking websites. Her clear, quality photographs allow potential adopters the opportunity to get a better look at the animals, which encourages them to take the next step in adoption.
